Data Centers are mission-critical facilities that have became essential to be able to do majority of our daily business and leisure activities. The main goal of this educational session is to educate attendees about the following:
1. Brief overview of key systems and rooms in data centers.
2. ASHRAE Thermal Guidelines for data centers.
3. Present commonly used cooling technologies in data centers.
4. Define commonly used KPIs in data centers.
5. Future trends in the data center industry.

Ahmed received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Mansoura University in Egypt in 2009, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. Between 2012 and 2016, he has participated in several international research projects on Solar Air Conditioning and Net-Zero Energy Building technologies. Between 2016 and 2019, Ahmed worked at the R&D Center of Excellence for Nortek Air Solutions, where he has contributed to the invention, design and development of novel cooling systems for several world-class Data Center. In 2019, Ahmed joined RYCOM, where he has worked on improving the O+M for many buildings by applying smart buildings, data intelligence and fault detection & diagnostics technologies.
Ahmed has 2 Worldwide Patents and he has authored over a dozen of peer-reviewed journal and conference papers on various energy efficiency and building systems technologies.
