Luka Matutinovic

Principal - Purpose Building
Luka Matutinovic is a Co-Founder and Principal at Purpose Building, an employee-owned consultancy focused on accelerating real estate towards planet positive pathways. Purpose delivers strategies for buildings and communities that are healthy, low-carbon, financially successful and aligned with circular economy thinking. Luka is an industry leader in sustainable design and performance analytics. He was past Vice President of the Boston and Canada Chapters of the International Building Performance Simulation Association, worked on the development of ASHRAE’s Energy Modelling Standard 209 and is currently an advisor on the Energy Metrics Group of the CaGBC Zero Carbon Building Standard.
Rae-Anne Miller
Manager, Public Energy Initiatives
Environment & Energy Division

Rae-Anne is the Manager of Public Energy Initiatives – Existing Buildings and leads a multidisciplinary team in the City of Toronto Environment & Energy Division (EED). Through the enhancement of the City's Better Buildings Partnership her team is responsible for driving GHG emission reductions and energy conservation through retrofits in all existing buildings across the city, including single family residential. She also worked as a Senior Engineer within the EED, where she contributed to energy conservation programs such as Demand Response and also assisted in the development of energy retrofit loan programs.
Lyle Scott
B.A., B.E.Sc., P.Eng., LEED AP BD+C
Principal - Footprint
With more than 20 years of experience in sustainable design, development, and operations, Lyle has a broad perspective on the best sustainability strategy for his clients. A trained mechanical engineer specializing in energy efficiency, facilities management, and sustainable development, Lyle is the founding and managing Principal of Footprint, collaborating with architects, engineers and developers to create the most appropriate sustainability solution.
For many years, Lyle has played a leadership role in this industry, serving as a founding member of Sustainable Buildings Canada and holding numerous positions within the Canada Green Building Council (including Vice Chairman of the CAGBC LEED Management Committee). Lyle has also served as a technical resource to the cities of Toronto, Edmonton, and Calgary, as well as an advisor to sustainability programs at Humber College, Ryerson University, and the University of Toronto. He has also played an instrumental leadership role in several sustainability “firsts”, including the first CaGBC multi-residential building, and has championed many other LEED projects bridging all building types and sectors.
